SFTP migration & setup guide

Sage People is introducing an integration to an enhanced SFTP file transfer platform for Sage People Payflow, powered by GoAnywhere.

The new platform will provide seamless integration, secure file transfer, file encryption/decryption, and file forwarding capabilities for Payflow services. With improved availability, self-service capabilities, and automated setup, the new service will bring significant enhancements over the legacy SFTP solution.

The new file transfer platform provides the following features:

  • Automated account creation and service setup​

  • A self-service portal login with the ability to manage files, settings, and users

  • Flexible file encryption and PGP signing options

  • Integration to third-party payroll providers with file forwarding or automated file retrieval capabilities.

This guide is for customers migrating existing services to the enhanced file transfer platform for Sage People Payflow. It can be used as a guide by customers with existing Payflow services that use the legacy SFTP file transfer service (CompleteFTP), or by those setting up the service for the first time.

The guide details the end to end setup process to configure Payflow services that deliver files to or retrieve files from the SFTP file transfer platform.

Tip You can configure a single service to test it before continuing to configure other Payflow services. If migrating from the legacy platform, you do not need to migrate all your services in one go, and can transition to the new platform over a period of time if required.
