Provide details to the third party
When you have completed the configuration, you must provide details to the third-party provider.
Send the provider:
-
Web addresses for third-party access
-
Details of the folder paths they have access to
-
Information about the web user accounts you have created: ensure the third-party user is aware that they will need to log in to update their password.
Important When you create the account, the third-party user will receive 2 confirmation emails: one with their username, and one with a temporary password. The user must sign in to the file transfer platform manually to update their password. -
The public part of any PGP/SSH keys you have generated:
-
A PGP public key is used by the third party to validate signed files you are forwarding to the third party, or to encrypt files before transmission to you.
-
An SSH public key is used by the third party to authenticate the connection from the file transfer platform to them for file forwarding, if you are not using password authentication.
-
