What is data grounding?

Data grounding allows HR Assistant to answer questions about team member data the Sage People system holds. This includes policies and procedures. In this case, HR Assistant looks at your HR data rather than content you load into libraries.

HR Assistant can answer questions based on a combination of information from the team member's data and the policies. Here's some examples of questions you can ask using data grounding and a combination of data grounding and library content:

• What's Steve Pendleton's current salary?

• How does this compare to the current salary of John Sheridan?

• Are Steve and John at the same grade?

• What's the recent salary history for Steve Pendleton?

• Where does Steve's current salary sit in his salary banding?

• Does Steve have any dependents logged in the system?

• Does he have a current unexpired passport on the system?

• Based on tenure, what's Steve's entitlements to long service awards this year?
