Existing CompleteFTP Integration to GoAnywhere
These steps apply to all Payflows you want to migrate to the new SFTP platform, whether inbound or outbound.
Before you start
Plan the following before migration:
• Define your user naming convention
• Point the Payflow to the correct server
• Create the user on the new server
• Decide the folder structure for file processing (especially important if you have numerous Payflows)
• Create the folder on the new server that will receive the files
Follow the steps below in the order they’re listed.
Set your user naming convention
You don’t need to create the Payflow user or folder in the admin console before doing the conversion. Payflow creates these for you as part of the migration process.
We recommend a username that combines a reference to your company and the data you’re providing. It may currently look like this:
Our recommendation is to set a new username, for example:
Cust001_ADP_Payroll
This shows “Cust001” as a short, unique reference to your organization. Sage People and Salesforce require a unique username. This avoids confusion with other customers using the same generic username.
For example, you and another customer may both use something like “ADP Payroll”. The unique prefix distinguishes your organization from any other.
If your existing Payflows have a username in the suggested format, you can reuse them.
When you’ve added your new username, click Update Credentials.
Point the Payflow to the new server
Your Payflow will show CompleteFTP in the SFTP Service Field:
This value tells the Payflow package that it’s interacting with the older platform.
In the SFTP Service field, replace CompleteFTP with the name of the Custom Metadata entry created during the Get Started phase.
Create the user on the new server

Go to SFTP Credentials and complete:

Password: The password you’ve set for this user. See Password guidance for more details

Email Address: We recommend the format <username>@yourdomain.com. This is a mandatory field and must be unique
Note This email address doesn’t have to be live or one that receives mail.

2. Click Update Credentials to save the created user.
3. Check you receive a confirmation message.
Create folders on the new server

Select either:

Download Configure for an outbound Payflow

Upload Configure for an inbound Payflow

2. Go to the Managed File Transfer section.
3. In the Outgoing Server box, enter https://sftpgo.eu.sagepeople.com/
The outgoing path is the folder you want to store files in from this service.
4. To specify a multilevel path, enter the details into the outgoing path:
4. Click Save and check you see the confirmation.
The folder is now visible in your admin console.
You’ve now set the Payflow to deliver files. Running the Payflow will let you see the files delivered to the new folder from the admin console. You can manually pick up files, have the system deliver them or you can create inbound triggers.
