Upcoming deprecation of legacy WX processes

Learn about upcoming legacy WX processes Sage is deprecating from 2027.

We're continuously evolving Sage People to deliver a more consistent, modern, and accessible experience. As part of this, we'll be deprecating some legacy WX processes in the Y27.1 release (May – June 2027). This gives you a twelve month transition period to move to the newer experience.

What's changing?

We'll be retiring the following legacy WX processes:

  • Objectives

  • Performance Review

  • Salary Planning

After the deprecation period, these processes will no longer be available for access or configuration within the WX experience. This change won't impact your data and underlying system objects. We're only retiring the WX process interfaces and associated configuration options.

Recommended replacements

We encourage you to transition to the latest WX processes:

  • Performance Management (includes Enhanced Objectives)

  • Performance Overview

  • Compensation Planning

Why make the move?

Moving to the latest WX processes lets you benefit from a more modern, scalable, and continuously improving experience.

  • Enhanced user experience: we designed a more intuitive, fully accessible interface to reduce complexity for manager and employee end users

  • Access to ongoing innovation: we deliver all future enhancements, fixes, and new capabilities on the new processes. This ensures you always stay up to date

  • Future-ready foundation: We build the new processes to support AI-driven innovations. This ensures you're well positioned to take advantage of future developments

What you should do next

We recommend beginning your transition to the new WX processes within the twelve month period. This will ensure continuity let you take full advantage of the experience and capabilities we've improved.

To support you through this transition, we’re hosting dedicated sessions and sharing extra guidance and resources. This will help you plan and move forward with confidence. We’re starting with a function focus webinar on Thursday 16 July.
