US Benefits overview

Sage People U.S. Benefits delivers employee access to benefits options for employees based in the United States through a service delivered as part of the Sage People self-service portal, WX.

The U.S. Benefits package uses standard Sage People objects supplied as part of the Sage PeopleHuman Capital Management (HCM) package.

U.S. Benefits integrates with third party benefits administration provider PlanSource to provide a complete benefits solution for employees.

  • The integration enables employee access to benefits information through a standard WX service.

  • An employee Single Sign On (SSO) default solution is provided for organizations without existing SSO providers.

  • Key employee information is supplied from HCM to PlanSource.

  • PlanSource manages the employee's benefits data, and no benefit or enrolment information is stored in Sage People.

  • Payroll deductions relating to benefits can be retrieved by Sage People from PlanSource and passed to a third party payroll provider.

Note

When you set up a new sandbox for an org where data is transferring to PlanSource, make sure you remove the PlanSource configuration from the sandbox before making any changes to team member data on the fields mapped to PlanSource fields in the sandbox. If you do not remove the active configuration, you risk transferring unintended changes to team member data in PlanSource. See US Advanced Benefits (PlanSource)
