Pre Boarding
You can create an enhanced experience for new hires using Sage People. Do this by giving them controlled, limited access to WX services and processes before their start dates.
Access for Pre Boarders can include or exclude the org chart and Team Member contact details that display in the people search. The system hides Pre-boarders from other Team Members.
Resolution
-
Add one or more Pre Boarding options to the Employment Status picklist.
The Employment Status setting lets Sage People processes identify Pre Boarders. This lets you permit or exclude access.
-
On the HCM Configure page:
-
In the WX Setup section, add Pre Boarding status values to the WX Hidden Employment Statuses field. Team Members with Hidden Employment Statuses aren't visible in WX to other employees, including their managers
-
In the Pre Boarders section, add Pre Boarding status values to the Is Pre Boarder field. Values you enter must exactly match the Pre Boarder values you've defined in the Team Member Employment Status picklist
-
-
Create a Policy to assign to Pre Boarders, setting the options you want.
Typically, copy an existing Policy and edit it to define the processes and levels of access you want for Pre Boarders.
-
Assign to the Pre Boarder Policy any Internal Communications you want them to see.
Add the Pre Boarder Policy to the Policy field on the Internal Communications Advanced Options tab.
-
Assign Pre Boarders to the Pre Boarder Policy.
Edit the Policy field on the Team Member record for the Pre Boarder.
-
If you don't create and assign a Pre Boarder Policy but allocate them to Policies, you can use the Hide Contact Details From Pre Boarders checkbox.
If you check this, the system hides contact details for all Team Members you assign to the Policy from Team Members. This is with Employment Status set to one of the Pre Boarding values you've defined.
-
If you're using Single sign-on (SSO), review your SSO configuration. Pre Boarders can log in with usernames and passwords on your org's login page (for example, <yourdomain>.my.salesforce.com). Or on login.salesforce.com, unless your My Domain settings prevent logins on login.salesforce.com.
