Option

Description

Manager Notes

Checkbox. If checked, the Manager Notes process is active and can be enabled for WX users.

Edit Manager Notes

Picklist. The lowest level able to create or edit a manager note. Select from:

  • Team Member

    Can be created or edited by all.

  • Manager

    Can be created or edited by manager or HR

  • HR

    Can be created or edited by HR only.

Manager Notes Team Member Access

WX only.

Picklist. The level of access granted to team members through WX to manager notes. Select the picklist and choose from:

  • None

    Team members have no access to manager notes.

  • Read

    Team members can view but not edit manager notes about themselves.

  • Edit

    Team members can view and edit but not delete manager notes about themselves. To activate Edit you must also select Approve Manager Notes.

  • Edit and Delete

    Team members can view, edit, and delete manager notes about themselves. To activate Edit and Delete you must also select Approve Manager Notes.

Manager Notes Manager Access

WX only. Picklist. The level of access granted to managers through WX for their team members' manager notes. Select the picklist and choose from:

  • None

    Managers have no access to manager notes for their team members.

  • Read

    Managers can view but not edit manager notes for their team members.

  • Edit

    Managers can view and edit but not delete manager notes for their team members. To activate Edit you must also select Approve Manager Notes.

  • Edit and Delete

    Managers can view, edit, and delete manager notes for their team members. To activate Edit and Delete you must also select Approve Manager Notes.

Approve Manager Notes

Checkbox. If checked, the HR Manager is asked to approve all new manager notes and attached files submitted by a manager. An approval process for manager notes must be configured and activated to support Approve Manager Notes. In WX:

  • If checked, newly created notes display the Submit button on the manager's view.
  • Notes can be edited until submitted, subject to access levels set in Manager Notes Team Member Access and Manager Notes Manager Access.
  • Manager notes created by the manager must be submitted by the manager and approved in the HR Manager portal before becoming visible to the Team Member.
  • If unchecked, notes cannot be edited after saving, regardless of the access level set in Manager Notes Team Member Access and Manager Notes Manager Access.

  1. Go to Setup and in Quick Find enter Override.

  2. On the Override page select the:

    • Package hosting the object

    • Language

    • Setup Component = Custom Field

    • Object

    • Aspect = Field Label

  3. Enter new values in the Field Label Override column
