Connect to a sandbox environment

Note We're going to retire the current Microsoft Teams app. Rather than continuing to invest in a limited keyword-driven experience, we're focusing in delivering modern, AI-powered capabilities. These provide greater value for employees, managers, and HR teams across multiple channels and workflows. The Microsoft Outlook integration we use for Interview Scheduling and Absence booking remains unaffected.

You can configure the app to connect to a Salesforce sandbox environment for testing purposes. Each user that needs to connect to the sandbox environment must perform this process in their Microsoft Teams client.

To configure the app to connect to a sandbox environment:

  1. If you are logged in, type Log out to end your session.

  2. Type Configure settings.

Note you must not be in the middle of another process, such as the login flow. Type Logout to end the process.

  3. In the Configure settings card, select the Production label and change it to Sandbox.

  4. Select OK.

  5. Sign in to the app using your sandbox environment credentials.

To check which environment is currently configured for your app, type Settings.

Tip When you are signing in to a Salesforce user account in a sandbox environment, ensure you use test.salesforce.com as the custom domain. See Single sign-on.
