API validation checks to be enforced for Absence records (beta)

This beta feature is designed to enforce data validation checks when using Salesforce native APIs or tools to create or update Absence data. Absence data downloads are not affected.

Validation aims to ensure high data quality, with a focus on making sure new or updated absences follow the requirements set by the Absence Accrual Rule, including valid start and end dates, reason code, and duration, as well as observing maximum and minimum limits, entitlements and so on.

The beta is delivered with Sage People release Y22.3 (July 2022).

The feature will use the Native API Support switch on the HCM package configuration page. This setting is currently in beta and should not be enabled.
