Form I-9 and E-Verify support changes

Data required by Form I-9, the Employment Eligibility Verification form issued by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), can be supplied from Sage People. Sage People also supports web-based confirmation through E-Verify. I-9 and E-Verify services are provided through a third party specialist, HIREtech, which has recently been acquired by Equifax. HIREtech now forms part of Equifax Workforce Solutions.

With effect from 13 October 2023 Equifax are discontinuing the Simplifi-9 product used by Sage People and replacing it with Equifax i-9 HQ at no extra cost. As a result, the Salesforce Flows installed as part of the US Tax Forms package and used by Sage People to integrate Simplifi-9 will cease to work because they will not be able to establish a connection to HIREtech.

Equifax are providing automated migration from Simplify-9 to i-9 HQ and instruction on how to log in to the new interface.

For a period of time new employee data added to Sage People will not automatically synchronize with i-9 HQ and must be added manually.
