Legacy HR Requests process is now deprecated

As previously communicated, Sage People Y24.2 release deprecates the legacy HR Requests WX process. To make employment changes requests, you organization now needs to enable and use People Management Workflow with HR request types if you are not using them already.

The option to enable HR Requests on policy pages has been removed. Users in WX can no longer navigate to the legacy HR Requests process in any way.

Because legacy HR Requests and People Management Workflow shared the WX process type called HR Requests, this process type remains the same, but it is no longer possible to use it for legacy HR Requests.

People Management Workflow now supports delegated access set up for the HR Requests process.

You can now translate the names and description of HR request types using custom labels in the same way as WX process names are translated. For more information about WX translations, see WX Translations | Translating WX Service and Process names and for the steps required for HR request types, see Translate HR request types.

As a result of addressing an issue in applying field set overrides to both new requests and existing requests, managers can only see employment change requests they have created, not all requests created for their team. This is a temporary solution, and a future release will introduce a policy option to control managers' access to employment change requests for their team members created by others.

If you have been using the legacy HR Requests process and not enabled and migrated to People Management Workflow, managers in your organization may find they still have actions to approve requests on the WX Actions page. Existing actions continue to be available, and users can approve and reject requests from the Actions page, however approved or rejected requests cannot be viewed anywhere in WX, unless you enable People Management Workflow.
