Link a question library to a vacancy

When you have defined one or more question libraries you can link them to specific vacancies, enabling all the questions in the library to be displayed to all candidates seeking to apply for the vacancies.

To link a question library to a vacancy:

  1. Select the Candidate Question Library tab.

  2. On the Candidate Question Libraries home page select the Question Library Name:

    Sage People displays the Candidate Question Library Detail page.

  3. Select the Related tab.

  4. On the Related tab for the Candidate Vacancy Question Libraries related list select New:

    If the Candidate Vacancy Question Libraries related list is not displayed you can add it to the page layout:

    1. Go to Setup > Objects and Fields > Object Manager.
    2. Select the Candidate Question Library object.
    3. Select Page Layouts.
    4. Select the Candidate Question Library Layout.
    5. On the Candidate Question Library layout screen, select Related Lists from the left panel.
    6. In the list of Related Lists, select Candidate Vacancy Question Libraries, drag and drop it into position on the page layout, typically below the Candidate Vacancy Questions Related List.

  5. Complete the fields as follows:

    Field What to enter
    Vacancy Required. The vacancy you want to link to this question library. Select the field to display a list of recent vacancies from which you can choose. You can also start to type the name of a vacancy to display matches, or choose to create a new vacancy.
    Question Library Required. The question library you want to link to the vacancy you selected. Automatically populated with the name of the question library you selected at the start of this procedure. To select a different question library, clear the field and use lookup to find and select the question library you want.
  6. Select:
    • Save to save the Candidate Vacancy Question Library detail and return to the Candidate Question Library Related tab.
    • Save & New and to save the Candidate Vacancy Question Library detail and add another.
    • Cancel to discard your changes and return to the Candidate Question Library Related tab.
