Day-by-day breakdowns of absence records for reporting

Sage People Summer 21 release introduces the ability to create absence day records, which split a Time Off record into day based units within the absence date range. You can use these records for reporting in your org, or export them using Payflow.

When enabled, Absence Day Records are created as follows:

  • one Absence Day Record for each of the Team Member's working days within the Time Off record's date range

  • the duration split into Absence Day Records with respect to the Team Member's Work Days Pattern or Work Schedule

  • with the same unit of time, days or hours, as the parent Time Off record

  • if your org has the partial days additional configuration from Sage People, Absence Days Records are created according to the indicated partial days, rather than splitting the duration evenly across the selected working days

By default, enabling daily Time Off reporting generates Absence Day Records for new Time Off records created or modified after enabling the feature. To extend daily Time Off reporting to existing absences in your org, or absences you have imported into your org, you can run a batch job to create the Absence Day Records starting from a date you specify.

Daily Time Off reporting increases the amount of data storage required in your org.
