Advanced: editing the Master Flow
The Master Apply Flow defines the main application journey for candidates. You can edit the behavior of the Master Flow by moving or changing elements in the flow.
For more information about flows, see Candidate Experience Portal Flows.
The Master Apply Flow consists of a set of subflows and a decision element. Some elements of the flow cannot be changed, but if required, you can adjust the position of elements such as the Upload Files subflow, to request that candidates upload files either before or after answering general questions.
Element | Description |
---|---|
Initialize Data |
Retrieves information required for the Flow such as candidate details, vacancy details, application details, and configuration settings. Note This subflow cannot be moved: it must appear at the beginning of the Master Flow.
|
Pre-Qualification Questions (Criteria Library) |
Pre-qualification questions are shown to the user if they have been configured for the vacancy. The score given for these questions determines whether the candidate can proceed with the application. This subflow also determines whether the application has been previously rejected. Note This subflow cannot be moved: it must appear at the second position in the Master Flow.
|
Decision | The Decision element determines whether the candidate can proceed, based on the score for the pre-qualification questions and the application status. If the candidate does not pass the minimum required score for the pre-qualification questions, or if the application has previously been rejected, the flow cannot proceed. |
Pre-Qualification Questions Failed - Candidate Not Eligible | If the candidate is not eligible for the vacancy, this flow shows the Application Rejected screen. |
Upload Files | Allows the candidate to upload supporting documents such as a cover letter or resume. |
General Questions (Fields from Application) | Displays a set of questions that allow the candidate to enter details that are saved to the Application record. |
General Questions (Fields from Candidate) | Displays a set of questions that allow the candidate to enter details that are saved to the Candidate record. |
Submit Application | The element is run when the application is submitted. It sends an email alert to the candidate and displays a confirmation screen. |
