Defining a User's language on the User detail page
-
Go to Users:
-
in Salesforce Lightning Experience, go to Setup > Administration > Users > Users.
-
in Salesforce Classic interface, go to Setup > Administration Setup > Manage Users > Users, or in Salesforce Lightning Experience, Setup > Administration > Users > Users.
Sage People displays the All Users page.
-
-
Select Edit next to the User you want to change.
Sage People displays the User Edit page.
- Scroll down to the Locale Settings section.
-
Select the Language picklist and select the language you want to display for the User.
You can also change Locale and Time Zone, but these have no effect on the displayed language.
Locale controls number and date formats used throughout the system, including WX. Setting a language in WX using the Language Selector picklist also sets a matching locale. To set non-matching language and locale you must use the User Detail page Locale Settings.
-
Select Save.
The language used for the user interface for this user changes to the selected language as soon as you select Save; this includes the field labels and buttons used on all Setup screens as well as WX and the HR Manager's Portal.
