Performance Review | Frequently asked questions
How can a manager see which team members have or have not completed their review?
Create a WX report based on actions. Include the Manager Action field and the Team Member action field. Use the Performance Review object as the target report type for this report.
Can I use a performance review template for probation reviews?
Yes, but remember only one performance review can be open at a time. To avoid any clashes with annual performance reviews, create a tab and list view for performance reviews or a report to identify and close any open probation reviews prior to starting annual performance reviews.
Can a previous manager and a new manager be assigned to the same team member’s performance review?
No, you cannot add a previous and a new manager to the team member’s performance review.
Is it possible to reassign performance reviews to new managers or do you have to manually change the manager on each performance review?
You do not need to reassign. When a manager changes, the performance review action moves automatically from the old manager to the new manager. The Manager Email field on Performance Review does not update but this is only relevant if referred to in a custom Workflow Rules as it is not required for notifications sent using Action Events.
How can you bulk close or bulk approve performance reviews?
Create a list view to show the performance reviews to be closed or approved and then populate the Revealed and Signed dates. After refreshing the list view the Record Type (and Status) change to Completed.
Only one Record Type can be updated at a time.
Can the Reveal to Manager button text be changed?
Yes, the custom label is Button_Reveal.
Tips for custom labels:
- To check which label needs to be changed, use the search view for custom labels and filter the Value field using the
contains
operator - Review the other returned values where the word appears and consider changing any relevant values for consistency
- Check if the button appears in other places. If it does, consider if changing the value works in all the places.
