File transfer platform configuration

Payflow uses the Sage People file transfer plaform, powered by GoAnywhere, as an SFTP service that hosts your upload and download files sent between Payflow and your payroll processing provider.

Before you can log in to the file transfer platform you must Configure an SFTP administrator.

To administer your account, log in to the SFTP service portal at the following URL, using your GoAnywhere admin credentials (Company Name and password):

To retrieve or deposit files using an FTP client, use the FTP address:

sftp://sftpgoftp.eu.sagepeople.com

Administrator and user accounts

Your file transfer platform administrator account has the ability to manage files, configure automated file transfer and encryption jobs, and create additional user accounts. Additional user accounts are typically configured with access to a limited set of folders within the file transfer platform. User accounts can be created for payroll administrators to upload or download files manually, or for automated processes to transfer files to and from your payroll processing provider.

Web users can use the account menu to change their password and set their landing page.

File management

Web users have access to the Files section to manage files in a subset of folders.

SFTP administrators have access to a set of configuration forms that enable you to:

  • Create and manage file forwarding jobs

  • Manage users and user accounts

  • Manage PGP keys for encryption and signing
