Localizing Scales

Competency Assessments use scales to define the level or quality of each competency indicator. You can localize the Scale label and the associated prompts by adding a Scale Language and the individual responses that comprise the scale by adding Scale Response Languages.

To add a Scale Language:

  1. Go to the Scales tab.
  2. Select the scale you want to localize.
  3. On the Scale Detail page, in the Scale Languages Related List, select New Scale Language.

  4. On the New Scale Language page, complete the fields as follows:

    Field Description
    Information section
    Scale The name of the Scale where you are adding a language. Select Scale Lookup Icon: Salesforce Lookup , find and select the Scale.
    Locale Picklist. Select the Locale for the language.
    Prompt fields The localized text of each of the Scale's prompt fields. Ensure you fill in the same prompt fields as in the source language.
  5. Select Save.

Repeat the steps for any other languages you want to add.
